Valentia Skincare Review

   I’ll be honest and say I’ve only just recently become swooned by skincare and Valentia has only just added to the love.  It’s not everyday you can find quality skincare that truly makes a difference. 

 

 A good eye cream is something I can’t live without. I never noticed until I religiously added one into my routine and I actually think the Valentia True Glow Eye Cream is one of the best ones I’ve tried. It adds hydration without feeling sticky, smooths fine lines, has a slight cooling effect and sinks right into the skin. I’ve been using it daily since I got it and can’t get enough. It even has a nice vibrant, citrusy scent. 

  
And don’t be intimidated by the picture because the Valentia Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask has made a drastic difference in my skin. After this long, cold winter my skin needed serious help. It was dry, flaky and in need of some serious moisture. Well, this baby brought me everything I needed and more. After just one use I could see my skin glowing. It’s remarkable. All you dry to combo girls definitely check out this mask for a world of a difference. 

Overall, I am so pleasantly surprised with Valentia products and I cannot wait to try the new Royal Rose Hydrating Serum next!! Have you tried Valentia products?

My Glam Bag:  

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara

  

   Influenster did it again and was kind enough to hook me up with the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara.

And let me tell you, it’s the shiz. I’m already planning my trip to Sephora to stock up. 

First of all, the packaging alone slaysss. It may seem simple in pictures, but it’s the perfect amount of sleek. It’s a somewhat large, geometrical black tube that has a nice weight. It just feels high quality all the way down to the way it closes with an almost magnetic click. & it absolutely delivers with application of the actual product.

I thought, at first, that the wand was nothing special. I mean, how great can it be? It’s just a basic traditional mascara wand. But it gives the perfect amount of length, drama, and separation that makes my lashes look almost false.

For example, on a daily basis, I usually wear liquid liner on my top lash line because it just makes me feel like I actually look awake (when I’m totally dying for a minimum of 37 more minutes of sleep), but the Velvet Noir mascara gave me so much lash that I have found myself skipping liner. I actually haven’t worn it since I started using it. The formula is the perfect middle ground of wet and dry so that it isn’t impossible to put on and doesn’t transfer. I am absolutely in love. It has been my go-to mascara and I haven’t put it down since the moment I cracked it open.

I’ll be honest and tell you I usually don’t splurge on mascaras, but I would dish out all the cash for this mascara over and over again, just for the effect that it gives. To my girls who want killer lashes, I would suggest running, not walking to pick up the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara.

StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner

 Although I love skincare, I like to think of myself as simple minded when it comes to different products. I usually stick to an all-natural cleanser and exfoliator, and use a dark spot corrector with Simple lotion and I’m done. Easy, right? Of course there are serums and creams and endless treatments, but I have sensitive skin so I tend to shy away from a lot of products.

 But just speaking about pores got me interested in the new StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner. It is nothing like I have ever used before. It’s like a mix between a primer or lotion that targets big pores like a dream. It is applied over the top of all of your other skincare products and leaves a beautiful matte finish (a combination skin girls dream) and really does reduce the look of fine lines and pores just by applying it.

After using it for nearly two months, I have to say that this product has absolutely made a difference in my skin. Using it mostly in my t-zone, I have noticed my skin looking and feeling smoother than it ever has in my entire adult life and not nearly as much breakthrough with oil during the day. It creates the perfect balanced of moisture in my skin by making it feel hydrated, but not greasy and I swear my skin is more clear than ever before. Even most of my redness has disappeared. Below is a before and after. The left being from 2 months ago before I used StriVectin and the right being tonight. I can absolutely see a difference.

Don’t judge my gross bare skin. But now, Just touching my face feels so incredibly soft it’s almost unbelievable and for a minute I honestly couldn’t figure out why, but this is the only other skincare product I’ve been using. Now I can’t help but think, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!

Like i said, I am no expert with skincare ingredients. I cannot speak to the benefits of the retinol or NIA-114™ (their patented technology that helps to provide the perfect mix of hydration and adsorption for your skin), but I can say this product is working for me. It has made my skin smoother, more even and balanced and i  simply love it. It’s lightweight, nearly fragrance free and provides the perfect amount of hydration for my skin. if i were you, i’d RUN to go pick this bad boy up. check it out right here.
